Ya know, you're right there, a strict definition of atheism would not include the belief that there is no meaning, it simply means "no god." But nihilism, being an atheistic stance itself, is really just an exploration of the implications of a universe without God. Basically, if one thinks about atheism long enough they will arrive at nihilism. And you're not a jerk! I can't put a philosophical statement in my signature and not expect some feedback! I welcome it!
